About Me

My name is Dorothea Bassett,and I am qualified in Physical Therapy,

as Touch for Health® instructor, Brain Gym® instructor, Professional Kinesiology Practitioner and Nordic Walking instructor.

I studied Physical Therapy in Berlin, qualifiying in 1979. In 1991 I specialized in Sports Physical Therapy with the International Academy for Sport Science in Bonn, Germany and worked with athletes from many different disciplines.

For 12 years, from 1987 – 1999, I ran my own clinic for Physical Therapy in Darmstadt, Germany.

I immigrated to Western Australia from Germany in 1999.

After getting acquainted with Kinesiology in 1991, I was delighted to have finally found the link which was missing in my work: the link between pure bodywork and the whole person, the unity of body, mind and soul.

During the many years in which I have been teaching children and adults, I have found that Brain Gym® itself is also an enormously beneficial preparatory activity for other therapeutic interventions. Therefore I always like to combine my knowledge as a physical therapist with Kinesiology and Brain Gym®.
